I had to read your sentence a couple time to figure it out. Good example of how passive writing clouds the water.

Reminds me of John Caples (famous ad man) who wrote in his book that our minds only have so much energy to expend on a sentence. If we spend all of our time and energy trying to put a sentence together, we have little energy to understand the idea.
