Sean D'Souza talks of a bacon-eating, meowing cat in his newsletter. You see, Felix the cat wanted some bacon from his owner's plate. The problem?
The bacon's all gone. Felix, however, keeps meowing for more. To silence the cat, the owner places an empty plate in front of the cat. Proof positive – the cat shuts up.
Sean goes on to write about the power of involving customers in demonstrations.
One Corning Glass salesperson was running sales circles around his peers. What technique was he using to jump start sales? He'd set a pane of safety glass on a counter, and then strike the glass with a ball peen hammer.
Of course, the glass remained in one perfect piece. And the customer throws orders at the salesperson.
